public class Namespace
extends AbstractAssignment
implements Theable, ExpandableCode

This class provides an implementation for the primitive \namespace.

The Primitive \namespace

The primitive \namespace witches the name space. For this purpose it takes one parameter which is a group. The contents is expanded and should result in a list of characters. Those characters are taken as the name of the new name space to switch to.

The name space corresponding to the empty list of characters is the default name space.

Syntax

The formal description of this primitive is the following:

    ⟨namespace⟩
      → \namespace ⟨replacement text⟩

The method assign is the core of the functionality of execute(). This method is preferable to execute() since the execute() method provided in this class takes care of \afterassignment and \globaldefs as well.

expand

            throws HelpingException

This method takes the first token and expands it. The result is placed on the stack. This means that expandable code does one step of expansion and puts the result on the stack. To expand a token it might be necessary to consume further tokens.
