org.extex.unit.tex.typesetter.spacing
Class Space

java.lang.Object
  extended by org.extex.interpreter.type.AbstractCode
      extended by org.extex.unit.tex.typesetter.spacing.Space
All Implemented Interfaces:
java.io.Serializable, Code

public class Space
extends AbstractCode

This class provides an implementation for the primitive \ .

The Primitive \

This primitive inserts an explicit space into the current list. This has an effect in horizontal or restricted horizontal modes only. In other modes it has no effect.

In contrast to a normal space it is not collapsed with adjacent spaces of any kind. This means that several invocation in row add up extra space. This is not recommended. See the macro \hskip instead.

Syntax

The formal description of this primitive is the following:
    ⟨space primitive⟩
        → \

Examples

    123\ 456
    123\ \  456
